Hola Coquetas,
Sometimes I feel like a stockbroker. Vinted, EBay, Poshmark, Mecari, Depop and The RealReal are my stock exchange. I buy shares of vintage designer for cheap and sell (well sometimes sell) when the shares value spikes.
In this market you mostly just spend money. But instead of having a number on a screen, you can touch, wear, and show off your assets.
Your portfolio is your wardrobe.
Don’t report me for insider trading, but here are the Coqueta exclusive forecasts.
It is time to liquidate your Napoleon military jackets. That stock is in a free fall, and frankly, we should be thankful for the market correction.
Some might be obvious to you because you’re just that in tune, and others might scare you. Change is frightening at first, but these projections are early. You have time to reposition your holdings.
In no particular order….
Wooden clogs
Layered patterns
layering is nothing new but layers especially with stripes and checks will be all the rage.

70s porn star glasses

Cat eye sunglasses especially on men
Gladiator heels and sandals

Lipstick nails, bonus if it is a thick French tips

Brooches

Mesh capris
Wedges every day

50s greaser style

Nude makeup
For the ones who can pull it off.
Polos
There will be a sweater and polo combo in every corner as we all go through this preppy phase. Not just one jumbo logo polo shirt, but two. Stacked, popped, skin tight and oversized, all shapes and forms. I would not be surprised if cotton cable knit sweaters followed right behind.

V necks on everyone
A smooth transition to V necks as far as the eye can see. V necks with breasts and V necks with chests, even the hairy ones. I feel like the V neck never really died for the ladies, but for the men it has been deceased for a century. Now it is back in every natural fiber, of course.
Leather socks
Leather socks? Yes. Imagine turning every ballet flat, high heel, or sandal into a sexy boot. Winter is not done yet. I am searching on Vinted as we speak to find the perfect pair.

Leather scarves
This one sounds odd, but along with the socks, leather for warmth.
Petrol blue
I cannot stop talking about petrol blue. It is just so enchanting. I think it is time for gem colors. Cobalt blue, magenta, turquoise. Only those.
Neons
This one is hard to pull off, but let us welcome the challenge. Neons are a powerful statement with a tendency to blind the eyes if not styled correctly, but I am certain we have some brave dressers.
Platform stilettos
We have been here before, but I am sure not everyone got the memo because I am still seeing flat shoes at the club. I can only pray that this year reaches elevated heights for everyone.

Celine Luggage bag
Let us talk specifics. I personally hated the Luggage bag when it was all the rage, but something happened recently. Maybe my frontal lobe developed. I see her in a new light. From enemies to lovers. Now I cannot wait to get my hands on a Celine Phantom in jet black.

Stirrups
If you know me, this is an obvious one and has been for some time. I want to see more stirrups hooked onto heels.

Leggings
Segway to leggings. This is where it can get frightening. But just trust. Leggings, bonus if they are stirrups, with a boot or a heel. Never with a flat. Not styled for daywear, but for night looks. I know all the Latina cougar aunts are excited to whip out their pleather leggings and now is the time. Correction, they never stopped wearing them, but now I am ready to join in and embrace it. Leggings paired with a jumbo clutch and pointed heels. A vision.
Ballet flats and Mary Janes for men
Slender footwear for the boys, finally. I want to hear them tapping around the halls.
Skinny ties
Remember when the fattest ties were walking around not that long ago? It is all about the skinny Rat Pack style tie now, as our suits get slimmer and our jeans get tighter. Wide ties are a thing of the past.

Givenchy Nightingale bag
I just got it in the large size in a tumbled ecru leather and is perfection. Get them while you still can.

Drug dealer pants
You may ask what these are, but you should understand the gist from the photo. I am not sure how to describe the fit, but I want to see this silhouette waddling around again with boots and a v neck sweater. I’m a sucker for a sag.

Prada Baroque swirl sunglasses
Shout out to Kian, who never properly stopped wearing these. Now is the time to invest.

Slouch everything
Slouched pants, slouched boots, slouched bags. Weathered and worn clothes.

Moccasins
As much as my heart belongs to heels, the feet must rest at times. Minnetonka is back. Do not worry, I never gave away my pair from sixth grade and concerningly, I still fit in them. I pray the return comes in boot form. I am not ready for the low ankle version.

Jumbo clutches
Obvious but very relevant. This is not the year of convenience. The bigger, the chunkier, the better. A dramatic clutch ties together every look and there is no better prop for a night out.

Valentino Rockstud heels
I have been hunting for the perfect Valentino Rockstuds in patent nude for what feels like years. They were the first thing I posted on Pinterest at 12 and I have not stopped loving them since. To recap, there is a nostalgic feeling in the air. Time to whip out some old classics you maybe did not understand before or forgot about in the depths of your closet.
