Hot Spot

Coquetas are very aware of their surrounding. When they spot pretty things they can’t help to notice.
We noticed an occurrence, a sexy pattern of hot men ridding bicycles. Not motorcycles- that’s just too obvious. We are talking about hot boys on bikes… even Lime bikes. All we do is complain about the handsomeness drought in London, when in reality, the issue was that we were standing still. The hunks do exist, they are just always on the move and if only we could catch up with them we would know.

Like the trained journalists we are, we did some research. We interviewed three hot girls and three hot boys and got out our binoculars.
The hot girls had a lot to say about the bike phenomenon, starting with Hot Girl #1: “I never see hot guys…. If I do, they are most likely on a bike yes. Usually biking back from Liverpool street/bank area. It’s the hot investment bankers with coke problems.” Interesting to hear that this phenomenon extends past the artsy hot guy, even reaching the finance boys. Hot Girl #2 and Hot Boy #1 (uses Lime app) both mentioned London Fields and Victoria Park, of course. On a sunny day you can’t miss them ridding through the park or walking their bikes through broadway market. Hot Girl #2 said, “But once you notice one ride by then it seems like everyone is”. She also mentioned an interesting place to spot hot guys by foot at the books fairs… (home of the performative male), but how they arrived? By bike, certainly. So, hot boys do read (or at least like to look at the pretty pictures). Speaking of pictures, I would add, if you hang outside a film lab you’re bound to come across some hotties locking up their bikes.
My most unexpected response was from Hot Guy #2 (owns his own bike) claims, “On their way to the fishmongers or butchers, they look good cuz they eat good”. This could take the form of a Whole Foods, or in East London, at the Planet Organic. Hot Guy #3 and Hot Girl #3 both mentioned many pubs which we can go over another day.

Let us know have you noticed this phenomenon? Or are we just allured by the mystery of a blurry man riding by.
