It seems the hottest new restaurant trend in LA is seating you on the street on plastic stools with no tables. I was told The Win-Dow burgers were better than In-N-Out, lol as if. Don’t get me wrong, the price was great and the fries are better, less cardboard. But damn, it’s just not as charming. Total millennial burger alert. And charging extra for sauce is a crime in itself.
I will say the kale salad was very good and a generous portion for $8. But how can you compare a kale salad to In-N-Out? They’re not even in the same universe. I tried the s’mores milkshake. It was rich and a bit too sweet for my liking. The burger itself seemed good, but I heard complaints about the bun not being toasted.
I don’t mean to roast The Win-Dow burgers. They’re just not comparable to our California classic. Don’t feel discouraged. I’d return to try their ice cream and more fries.
